Grampound with Creed Carnival is held every year on the first Saturday of September.

A fete is held in the afternoon on the recreation ground and in the village hall, both situated behind the primary school on Fore Street.

At 6 p.m. the main road is closed to allow the carnival procession to move out of the recreation ground and up Fore Street through the village. The road is then re-opened for a short while to allow the traffic queues to clear, then closed again before the procession returns back down Fore Street to the recreation ground. The event is always well attended by those participating in the carnival procession and by those watching. See examples of previous carnivals.
